Naturally Bengal is an initiative supporting an environment-friendly, sustainable lifestyle by promoting a range of plant based eco-friendly products, sourced from the bounteous forests of Bengal, which are aesthetically appealing and support a green way of life. Sustainability, in today’s world, is not just a catch phrase: it is about adopting a certain kind of lifestyle, a healthy trend that is here to stay. The use of these products was earlier confined to the geographical locations of their origin. With several design development initiatives, various craft items have emerged. The districts in which work is going on have bountiful forests that are paradise for nature lovers.
The initiative has reached over 27,000 people and with women constituting the major chunk involved in the craft process, they are gradually evolving as propellers of socio-economic growth for their family and subsequently of the community.
